Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide which acts inside the intestines to kill the infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). It is added in case of severe intestinal infections. Dimethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
