Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aldocin-D Tablet is to be taken with food.:

If you miss a dose of Aldocin-D Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

Does Aldocin-D Tablet shrink the prostate?::: No, Aldocin-D Tablet does not shrink the size of the prostate. It belongs to the alpha-blocker class of medicines. It helps in relieving symptoms of an enlarged prostate. It works by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate to allow urine to flow more easily. | Can Aldocin-D Tablet cause erectile dysfunction?::: No, Aldocin-D Tablet does not cause erectile dysfunction. On the contrary, it may help in improving any such condition. However, this medicine may cause painful erection (priapism) which does not go away. If priapism is not treated, you may not be able to get an erection in the future.| When should I take Aldocin-D Tablet?::: Aldocin-D Tablet should be taken after meals at the same time each day. Do not cut, crush or chew the medicine, but swallow it whole with water.| Does Aldocin-D Tablet have any effect on the liver?::: In very rare cases your liver may be affected and cause liver function abnormality. Hence, it would best to inform the doctor if you already have liver disease before starting the medication. The doctor will prescribe a lower dose of Aldocin-D Tablet once or twice daily.| Can Aldocin-D Tablet be taken by old or elderly people?::: Yes, it can be taken by elderly or old people, but they need to be careful. Regular monitoring is required in case the patient also has high blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking Aldocin-D Tablet.| Can Aldocin-D Tablet affect my eyes?::: In rare cases, Aldocin-D Tablet may cause abnormal vision. But, it is important to know that this medicine may cause complications during surgery if you are to be operated for cataract. Hence, inform your doctor before surgery that you are taking Aldocin-D Tablet. Your doctor may perform surgery differently to prevent any complications.| Can the use of Sildenafil or Vardenafil cause trouble when taken along with Aldocin-D Tablet?::: Extreme care should be taken if you are taking Sildenafil or Vardenafil along with Aldocin-D Tablet. The combination may cause a significant decrease in blood pressure which can be serious. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are taking these medicines.| What can patients do to help alleviate or prevent discomfort and side effects due to Aldocin-D Tablet?::: Aldocin-D Tablet may lower your blood pressure especially when you suddenly stand up after lying down. You may feel dizzy or fainting and therefore you should get up slowly from bed or chair. This medicine may impair your reactions to certain conditions. Hence, avoid driving or hazardous activities until you know how this medicine will affect you.:

Aldocin-D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Alfuzosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Alfuzosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate gland by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.:

Aldocin-D Tablet is a combination of two medicines that work in different ways to treat men with an enlarged prostate gland. It helps to relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating or needing to go to the toilet more often. It is not used to prevent prostate cancer. Aldocin-D Tablet should be taken immediately after the same meal each day. Take it as a whole, do not break, chew, or crush them. Your doctor will prescribe the dose most suitable for you. To gain the most benefit and treat your symptoms effectively you should not miss doses, even if you feel well. It may take up to 4 weeks to notice an improvement in symptoms but keep taking them regularly. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks or if they get worse.The most common side effects of this medicine include decreased libido, inability to get an erection (impotence), and tenderness or enlargement of your breasts. If these effects worry you or do not go away, call your doctor for advice. You may also feel dizzy or drowsy. These risks are higher when you first start taking this drug. Remember, your doctor has given you this medicine because the benefits are greater than the risks of the side effects.Aldocin-D Tablet should not be taken by women or children. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or liver or kidney disease. This medicine may not be suitable. It can also affect, or be affected by, other drugs so let your doctor know all other medicines you are taking. You may be advised to wear a condom during sex and to have your blood pressure checked frequently. Talk to your healthcare team if you drink alcohol.:
