Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:
If you miss a dose of Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

If you experience any persistent problem while taking this medication, inform your doctor as soon as possible.| Q. Can the use of Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet cause dizziness?::: Yes, the use of Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for sometime and resume once you feel better. Do not drive or use any machines.| Q. Can the use of Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?::: Yes, the use of Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. If vomiting occurs, drink plenty of water or other fluids. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists. You should also let your doctor know if you are unable to drink water and there are signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.:

Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of common cold symptoms like runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion or stuffiness. It is also used to relieve pain and fever.Alkem Cold 5 mg/500 mg/5 mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, dryness in the mouth, and allergic reaction. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you.
