Altex Oral Drops should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Altex Oral Drops may be needed. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Altex Oral Drops may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

Can I give Altex Oral Drops to my child who is less than 6 years of age?::: Yes, Altex Oral Drops is suitable to be given to the child who is between 2 to 6 years of age. Your child’s doctor may prescribe the dose depending upon your child’s body weight.| What if my child takes too much Altex Oral Drops?::: An overdose or a prolonged intake of Altex Oral Drops may cause serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, excess salivation. Make sure to give this medicine to your child strictly as per the prescribed dose, time, and way. You must also ensure not to stop the medicine abruptly even if your child starts to feel better. Sudden withdrawal of this medicine may worsen your child’s condition.| How should Altex Oral Drops be stored?::: Altex Oral Drops should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Also, keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children to avoid any mishap.| My child has a severe cough. Can I give him two cough medicines together?::: Do not give your child more than one cough or cold medicine at a time unless advised by your child’s doctor. In case of confusion, always consult your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I give my cough medicine to my child?::: Never give your child the medicines that have been recommended for use by adults. Children should only be given the medicines that have been formulated for them, else it may cause unwanted side effects. Check the label of the medicine properly before giving it to your child. Altex Oral Drops is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.:

Altex Oral Drops comprises three active ingredients that together help treat wet cough (cough with mucus), acute sore throat and asthma in children. It also relieves throat irritation, clears congestion, and enables easy breathing in your child. Altex Oral Drops makes it easier for your child to cough out the mucus by increasing its water content and making it thin enough to be coughed out. Give this medicine to your child by mouth with or without food along with a full glass of water. If your child develops an upset stomach, prefer giving it with food.You may require to give this medicine to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon the severity of the infection. For maximum benefit, do not stop the medication abruptly by yourself even if your child starts to feel better and continue the medicine until the full prescribed course. Do not give more than the prescribed dose for fast relief as it may cause unwanted effects and worsen your child’s condition.Some of the common side effects of this medicine include excessive production of saliva, fatigue, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, rash, tremors, and numbness or tingling sensation in the hands or feet.
