Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.:

Are there any possible serious side effects of Amoxylac Tablet DT?::: Although rare, Amoxylac Tablet DT may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, and allergy. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as Amoxylac Tablet DT?::: Amoxylac Tablet DT can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Inform your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Amoxylac Tablet DT.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Amoxylac Tablet DT?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they fully recover from the illness. Post recovery from illness, the child can take the vaccine after consulting the doctor.| The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?::: In the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not mean that your child needs antibiotics. Common cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. In case they fail to clear up within this duration, reach out to your child’s doctor for guidance.| Is Amoxylac Tablet DT safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?::: No, do not give this medicine to your child in this case as a high percentage of children with infectious mononucleosis develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking Amoxylac Tablet DT.:
Amoxylac Tablet DT is an antibiotic with a probiotic agent. Amoxycillin, the antibiotic, works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. This action aids in killing the infection-causing bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment. The other agent, lactobacillus, helps prevent side effects such as diarrhea by restoring the balance of healthy bacteria in your child’s gut.:

Amoxylac Tablet DT comprises one antibiotic and one probiotic medicine. It helps treat a multitude of bacterial infections, including those of the ears, eyes, nose, sinus, tonsils, tooth, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. Give Amoxylac Tablet DT either with or without food but it is best to give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.Amoxylac Tablet DT can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. These side effects should ideally subside on their own. But, in case these side effects persist or become bothersome for your child, report to the doctor without a delay.Tell your child’s doctor if your child has had any previous episodes of allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal problem, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction.
