Is it safe to give Ampoxin LB Capsule to children suffering from jaundice?::: It is advised not to give Ampoxin LB Capsule to children if they have jaundice. The reason being, Ampoxin LB Capsule contains an active ingredient called cloxacillin which can aggravate the symptoms of jaundice in your child.| Is Ampoxin LB Capsule safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?::: No, it is not advised to give Ampoxin LB Capsule if your child is suffering from infectious mononucleosis or even leukemia as Ampoxin LB Capsule can lead to the development of skin rashes.| Are there any possible serious side effects of Ampoxin LB Capsule?::: Although rare, Ampoxin LB Capsule may cause some serious side effects such as skin rash, allergy, bleeding problems, seizures, and blood cell abnormalities. In case your child develops any of these symptoms, consult the doctor at the earliest.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as Ampoxin LB Capsule?::: Ampoxin LB Capsule can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Ampoxin LB Capsule. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Ampoxin LB Capsule?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.:
Ampoxin LB Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Ampicillin, Cloxacillin, and Lactobacillus. Ampicillin and Cloxacillin are antibiotics that work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering that is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism that restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.:

Ampoxin LB Capsule treats a wide range of bacterial infections, including those of the ears, nose, sinus, tonsils, throat, lungs, heart, skin, and bones. It can also treat infections caused by resistant bacteria. The presence of probiotics helps in reducing the chance of getting side effects like diarrhea. Give Ampoxin LB Capsule either with or without food but it is best to give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.Ampoxin LB Capsule can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. These side effects should ideally subside on their own. But, in case these side effects persist or become bothersome for your child, report to the doctor without a delay.Tell your child’s doctor if your child has had any previous episodes of allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal problem, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction.
