How it works:
description:Burnaid 1% Ointment is an antibiotic medicine that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It is used to prevent and treat infections of burn wounds. This medicine stops the bacteria from growing, which helps to resolve your symptoms. Burnaid 1% Ointment is meant for external use only. It should be applied only to the affected area of the skin, after cleaning the wound. Use it as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. In order to get the most benefit, apply it regularly and preferably at the same time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. This will only increase the risk of side effects. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the medicine in these areas.Use of this medicine may cause few common side effects such as burning sensation, itching, irritation, and swelling at the site of application. These are usually temporary and resolve on their own. Some people may develop a decreased white blood cell count while using this medicine. Consult your doctor if you experience any symptoms that do not go away or get worse. Before using it, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it. Your doctor may monitor your blood cell counts during treatment.
