Acitreat 40mg Injection is also used to prevent stress ulcers in seriously ill patients and is administered before anesthetic medication to help prevent aspiration-related complications. It belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). This medicine is administered into a vein by a healthcare professional and will only be given to you if your doctor thinks that an injection is more suitable for you at the moment than a tablet. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. What is Acitreat 40mg Injection used for?::: Acitreat 40mg Injection is used for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease, reflux esophagitis or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Acitreat 40mg Injection prevents acidity associated with use of painkillers. It is also used to treat a disease associated with excessive acid production in the stomach known as Zollinger Ellison syndrome (ZES). It works by reducing the amount of acid made by your stomach and thus relieves your symptoms.| Can I take antacids along with Acitreat 40mg Injection?::: Yes, you can take antacids along with Acitreat 40mg Injection. Take it 2 hours before or after you take Acitreat 40mg Injection.| How long does it take for Acitreat 40mg Injection to work?::: You should start to feel better within 2 to 3 days. It may take up to 4 weeks for Acitreat 40mg Injection to work properly so you may still have some symptoms during this time.| Does Acitreat 40mg Injection cause weight gain?::: Although rare but long-term treatment with Acitreat 40mg Injection may cause weight gain.
