What are the benefits of taking Aktiv-D Injection?::: Aktiv-D Injection is important for maintaining bone health and supporting the health of the immune system, brain, and nervous system. It also regulates insulin levels and is important for a healthy heart and blood vessels.| Is it better to take Aktiv-D Injection at night or in the morning?::: You can take Aktiv-D Injection at any time, morning or night. However, limited information is available about the best time to take it. Take it strictly as advised by your doctor. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit from Aktiv-D Injection.| Who should not take Aktiv-D Injection?::: Aktiv-D Injection should not be taken by patients allergic to cholecalciferol, patients with increased levels of calcium in the blood, or if there is a presence of calcium in the urine. Patients with kidney stones or severe kidney problems should avoid its use. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking Aktiv-D Injection.| What happens if I take too much Aktiv-D Injection?::: Taking too much Aktiv-D Injection for an extended period may increase calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcemia). This may cause weakness, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, sluggishness, kidney stones, increased blood pressure and growth retardation in children. If you experience any such symptoms, consult your doctor.| How much Vitamin D3 should I take daily?::: Aktiv-D Injection is a form of vitamin D used as a supplement in patients with vitamin D deficiency. The daily requirement of Vitamin D3 is 4000 IU/day. Since your diet may not meet the daily requirement of Vitamin D3, you may need 1000 – 3000 IU/day of Vitamin D3 supplements.| What happens if Vitamin D3 is low?::: Low levels of Vitamin D3 may cause rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. Vitamin D deficiency may also increase the risk of diabetes mellitus 1, high blood pressure, depression, some cancers, and osteoporosis.:

This medicine is used if your diet does not provide enough vitamin D and may be used to treat certain bone conditions such as thinning of the bones (osteoporosis). Aktiv-D Injection is given under the supervision of a healthcare professional and should not be self-administered. You should take it regularly to get the most benefit from it. If you are using it to treat osteoporosis, you will also be prescribed other medicines. This medicine may be only part of a complete treatment program that includes changing your diet and taking calcium and vitamin supplements. Learn the foods you should eat to get enough calcium and vitamin D.If taken in the correct dose and duration, it is well tolerated and does not usually cause side effects. However, overdosage of Aktiv-D Injection can cause symptoms such as weakness, muscle pain, or a metallic taste in your mouth. Let your doctor know if you experience any side effects or other symptoms after the injection. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or treat the side effects.Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have high calcium levels in your blood or if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Some other medicines can decrease the absorption of vitamin D3, so let your doctor know all other medicines you are taking to make sure you are safe. While using Aktiv-D Injection, you may need extra blood tests and possibly X-rays.:
