Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alcoxib 120mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

If you miss a dose of Alcoxib 120mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

What is Alcoxib 120mg Tablet used for?::: Alcoxib 120mg Tablet is used to reduce the pain and swelling (inflammation) in the joints and muscles of people 16 years of age and older with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout. Alcoxib 120mg Tablet is also used for the short term treatment of moderate pain after dental surgery in people 16 years of age and older.| Is Alcoxib 120mg Tablet helpful in relieving stomach pain?::: No, Alcoxib 120mg Tablet should not be taken for stomach pain without consulting a physician. This drug can increase stomach acid secretion which may aggravate an unknown underlying condition.| Can the use of Alcoxib 120mg Tablet cause damage to kidneys?::: Yes, the long-term use of Alcoxib 120mg Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protect the kidneys from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body, leading to kidney damage because of long-term use. Therefore, the use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.| Can Alcoxib 120mg Tablet cause high blood pressure?::: Yes. Alcoxib 120mg Tablet can increase blood pressure in some people, especially in high doses, and your doctor may advise you to check your blood pressure at home or even monitor it from time to time. It effectively alleviates pain, redness, and swelling. Alcoxib 120mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Alcoxib 120mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Do not take more than prescribed dose.Flu-like symptoms, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhea, indigestion, edema, headache, palpitations, and hypertension are some of the side effects that might be seen with this medicine.
