How do you use Alkajis Syrup?::: Alkajis Syrup should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before each use. Mix it in a glass of water or juice as advised by your doctor. Avoid taking Alkajis Syrup on an empty stomach if diarrhea occurs. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine to avoid stomach upset.| How long does it take to work?::: Alkajis Syrup taken few minutes to start working and its effect lasts for around four to six hours. Do not skip doses and use it for the duration prescribed by your doctor for maximum benefits.| What if I overdose?::: Taking Alkajis Syrup in more quantity as recommended by your doctor, will not help you recover faster. However, it may only expose you to increased side effects only. Alkajis Syrup is a medicine used in the treatment of gout and kidney stones. It stops the production of uric acid in the body and reduces the episodes of gout attack and prevent kidney stones. Alkajis Syrup can be taken with or without food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Take it regularly and do not stop taking the medicine even if you get better until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop.The most common side effect of this medicine is stomach pain. It may also cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, frequent urge to urinate, and tiredness. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or get worsen, you should let your doctor know.
