Almox C Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Almox C Tablet is recommended.:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Almox C Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.:

Why has my child been prescribed the combination of two antibiotics?::: A combination of two antibiotics is prescribed when the doctor suspects that your child may have developed a bacterial infection caused due to resistant bacteria. Giving a combination of two antibiotics increases the efficiency of the medicine and helps in killing the resistant bacteria.| Can I give Almox C Tablet to my child repeatedly for a long time?::: Giving your child Almox C Tablet for a long term can cause fungal infection (oral thrush) in the mouth and severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfections). Therefore, do not alter the dose and duration on your own and give Almox C Tablet to your child exactly as prescribed. Additionally, irregular treatment, repeated use, and misuse of Almox C Tablet can make the bacteria resistant.| Are there any possible serious side effects of Almox C Tablet?::: Although rare, Almox C Tablet may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as Almox C Tablet?::: Almox C Tablet can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Almox C Tablet. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Almox C Tablet ?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?::: In the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not mean that your child needs antibiotics. Common cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. In case they fail to clear up within this duration, reach out to your child’s doctor for guidance.| Is Almox C Tablet safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?::: No, do not give this medicine to your child in this case as a high percentage of children with infectious mononucleosis develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking Almox C Tablet.| Is it safe to give Almox C Tablet to children suffering from jaundice?::: It is advised not to give Almox C Tablet to children if they have jaundice. The reason being, Almox C Tablet contains an active ingredient called cloxacillin which can aggravate the symptoms of jaundice in your child.:

Almox C Tablet contains two active ingredients, Amoxycillin and Cloxacillin. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. On the other hand, the presence of cloxacillin increases the efficiency of this medicine and helps in treating the infections caused by resistant bacteria. By doing so, it kills the infection-causing bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading.:

Almox C Tablet contains two active antibiotics that are effective against a multitude of bacterial infections, including those of the ears, nose, sinus, tonsils, throat, lungs, heart, skin, and bones. It can also effectively treat infections caused by resistant bacteria. Give Almox C Tablet either with or without food but it is best to give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.Almox C Tablet can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. These side effects should ideally subside on their own. But, in case these side effects persist or become bothersome for your child, report to the doctor without a delay.Tell your child’s doctor if your child has had any previous episode of allergy, heart problem, blood disorder, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal problem, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction. Knowledge of your child’s medical history will help the doctor make dose alterations and plan your child’s overall treatment.:
