Alticet M Kid Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Alticet M Kid Syrup is recommended.However, consult your child’s doctor in case of severe liver disease.:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Alticet M Kid Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

Do not panic. Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if it is almost the time for the next dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.:

Can I start the course of Alticet M Kid Syrup?::: No, don’t start Alticet M Kid Syrup without speaking to your child’s doctor. Moreover, Alticet M Kid Syrup can hamper your child’s performance as it may cause mild sedation, dizziness, and sleepiness. So, it’s best to reach out to the doctor first.| Q. Can I stop the medicine by myself?::: No, all symptoms may reappear on sudden withdrawal of Alticet M Kid Syrup usually if taken for a long-term. It is advised to stop this medicine gradually under the guidance of your child’s doctor.| Q. My child is suffering from a mood disorder. Is it safe to give Alticet M Kid Syrup to my child?::: Some studies show that Alticet M Kid Syrup can cause mood disorders, hallucinations, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, shakiness, and trouble controlling body movements. Therefore, consult your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Q. Can I use Alticet M Kid Syrup for treating acute asthma attacks in my child?::: Alticet M Kid Syrup should only be used to prevent asthma attacks. It should not be used to stop an attack that has already started. Use your child’s reliever medicine to help with an attack that has already started.:

Alticet M Kid Syrup contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.:

Alticet M Kid Syrup is commonly prescribed in children to treat symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It may also help in the treatment of asthma and skin allergies.Give this medicine to your child at a fixed time before or after food in the prescribed dose, time, and way. For asthma, prefer giving Alticet M Kid Syrup in the evening or 2 hours before physical activity. For allergy, it is best to give it either in the morning or in the evening, depending upon the time of onset of symptoms. In case your child has both, prefer giving it in the evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again, but skip it if it’s already time for the next dose.Your child may start to feel better after a few regular doses. However, you must still complete the prescribed dose to ensure maximum benefit. Moreover, stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child’s condition. This medicine may cause some minor and temporary side effects like vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, rash, and headache. Usually, these episodes subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case these effects persist or start bothering your child, consult your child’s doctor without any delay.Let your child’s doctor know if your child is already taking any medicines.
