Altime CF Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Altime CF Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Altime CF Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

Do not panic. Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose If it’s almost the time for the next dose. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule and do not give a double dose to catch up with the missed dose.:

Q. My child is 5 months old and has a dry cough. Can I give him Altime CF Syrup?::: No. Altime CF Syrup should not be given to children who are less than 2 years of age because it contains an ingredient, dextromethorphan, which can interfere with the functioning of your child’s brain Hence, give Altime CF Syrup to your child only after speaking to your child’s doctor.| Q. Can Altime CF Syrup make my child sleepy?::: Altime CF Syrup may cause mild drowsiness making your child feel sleepy. However, be cautious and never give this medicine to your child to induce sleep. Forced sleep could mask any underlying sleep disorder like insomnia. It’s best to always consult your child’s doctor regarding any problem your child might be facing and before giving any medicine to your child.| Q. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Altime CF Syrup?::: Altime CF Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Altime CF Syrup. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Q. Can I give the cough medicine prescribed for me to my child?::: Never give your child the medicines that have been recommended for use by adults as these medicines are usually stronger and may cause unwanted side effects. So, always give medicines that have been specifically formulated for them. | Q. What if I give too much Altime CF Syrup by mistake?::: Prolonged or excess of Altime CF Syrup can put your child at risk of developing serious side effects. These side effects may include seizures, rapid heart rate, depression, cognition defects, and inability to concentrate. Hence, you must always stick to the prescribed dose. To pour out the right dose, do not use a kitchen teaspoon as it will not give the correct estimate. Use the calibrated cup provided with the medicine by the manufacturer.| Q. Can Altime CF Syrup lead to addiction?::: Yes, Altime CF Syrup contains active ingredients that help in relaxing the mind and possess addictive properties. Therefore, Altime CF Syrup should not be given for a long duration without consulting your child’s doctor.| Q. How should I store Altime CF Syrup?::: Altime CF Syrup should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Also, keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children to avoid any accidental intake.:

Altime CF Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, dextromethorphan, and cetirizine which relieve dry cough. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.:

Altime CF Syrup is given to children to treat dry cough. It also helps relieve symptoms of common cold and allergy such as runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion or stuffiness.Give this medicine to your child by mouth with or without food. It is preferred to give this medicine with food to avoid stomach upset. Always remember that the dosing schedule provided by your child’s doctor depends on the type of symptoms your child has, so make sure to follow the prescribed dose, time, and way strictly.Give Altime CF Syrup at a fixed time each day so that it gradually makes a place in your child’s daily routine, which will help you to remember. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine give the same dose again. However, never repeat the dose if it’s already time for the next dose.Some of the minor and temporary side effects that your child may experience while taking this medicine include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, rash, and headache. Usually, these episodes subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. In case these effects persist or become bothersome for your child consult your child’s doctor without any delay.Let your child’s doctor know in case your child is on any other medicine regime or has had any previous episodes of allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, skin disorders, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction.
