Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Altracef-O Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

If you miss a dose of Altracef-O Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

Can I stop taking Altracef-O Tablet when I feel better?::: No, do not stop taking Altracef-O Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.| What if I miss my dose?::: Take Altracef-O Tablet as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it’s almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.| Can the use of Altracef-O Tablet cause diarrhea?::: Yes, the use of Altracef-O Tablet can cause diarrhea. It is an antibiotic which kills the harmful bacteria. However, it also affects the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine and causes diarrhea. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea, talk to your doctor about it.| What if I don’t get better after using Altracef-O Tablet?::: Inform your doctor if you don’t feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Altracef-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Ofloxacin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body.
