Alve-O2 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Alve-O2 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alve-O2 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

If you miss a dose of Alve-O2 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

Can Alve-O2 Tablet interfere with laboratory tests?::: Yes, Alve-O2 Tablet contains Acetylcysteine which may interfere with laboratory tests like urine ketone test and may cause false test results. Inform your doctor if you are taking Alve-O2 Tablet before taking any tests.| Will Alve-O2 Tablet be more effective if taken in higher doses?::: No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If symptoms are not getting relieved by the recommended doses, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.| What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Alve-O2 Tablet?::: Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Alve-O2 Tablet is a combination of two medicines : Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic and bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to breathe. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic medication. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out.:

Alve-O2 Tablet is used to treat and prevent asthma and symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (a lung disorder in which the flow of air to the lungs is blocked) such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. It helps relax the muscles of the air passages thereby making it easier to breathe. Alve-O2 Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.The most common side effects are vomiting, heartburn, stomach upset, rash, itching, and nasal inflammation. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as that may cause excessive drowsiness.Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. Before you start taking this medicine it is important to inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.:
