Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alzocept-5 M Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:
If you miss a dose of Alzocept-5 M Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people.| What are the contraindications to the use of Alzocept-5 M Tablet?::: Alzocept-5 M Tablet is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to Memantine, Donepezil or any of its constituents. Also, inform your doctor about all of patients medical history before using this medicine.| What should I inform my doctor before using Alzocept-5 M Tablet?::: Before taking Alzocept-5 M Tablet, tell the doctor about all of patient’s past and present medical conditions, including: problem in heart, lung, liver, kidney or bladder, seizures, stomach ulcers or any scheduled medical procedures. Also, inform your doctor about all the medicines patient takes.| What if the patient takes more of Alzocept-5 M Tablet than recommended?::: If the patient overdose on Alzocept-5 M Tablet, go to nearest medical emergency department or call your doctor immediately.| Can the use of Alzocept-5 M Tablet cause diarrhea?::: Yes, the use of Alzocept-5 M Tablet can cause diarrhea. Alzocept-5 M Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Donepezil and Memantine which treat Alzheimer’s disease. Donepezil is a cholinesterase inhibitor while Memantine is an NMDA inhibitor. Alzocept-5 M Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat Alzheimer’s disease. It helps to slow down the progression of moderate to severe Alzheimer’s by improving memory and thinking. It also increases the levels of a chemical messenger involved in the transmission of nerve signals. Alzocept-5 M Tablet can be taken with or without food, but you may take it with food to avoid a stomach upset. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the blood. Do not skip any doses, but if you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better and do not stop taking it suddenly.Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, and headache. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness. So, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated while taking this medicine as this medicine may cause diarrhea.Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have ever had heart problems, stomach ulcers, epilepsy or asthma.
