Ambrodil-LX Drop should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ambrodil-LX Drop may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Discuss with your child’s doctor thoroughly in case your child has a history of allergy (hypersensitivity) or any liver problem before giving Ambrodil-LX Drop.:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Ambrodil-LX Drop may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

Do not panic. Unless your doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.:

Can I give Ambrodil-LX Drop to my child who is less than 6 years of age?::: Yes, Ambrodil-LX Drop is suitable to be given to the child who is between 2 to 6 years of age. Your child’s doctor may prescribe the dose depending upon your child’s body weight.| What if my child takes too much Ambrodil-LX Drop?::: An overdose or a prolonged intake of Ambrodil-LX Drop may cause serious side effects like seizures, rapid heart rate, excess salivation. Make sure to give this medicine to your child strictly as per the prescribed dose, time, and way. You must also ensure not to stop the medicine abruptly even if your child starts to feel better. Sudden withdrawal of this medicine may worsen your child’s condition.| How should Ambrodil-LX Drop be stored?::: Ambrodil-LX Drop should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place, away from direct heat and light. Also, keep all medicines out of the reach and sight of children to avoid any mishap.| My child has a severe cough. Can I give him two cough medicines together?::: Do not give your child more than one cough or cold medicine at a time unless advised by your child’s doctor. In case of confusion, always consult your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I give my cough medicine to my child?::: Never give your child the medicines that have been recommended for use by adults. Children should only be given the medicines that have been formulated for them, else it may cause unwanted side effects. Check the label of the medicine properly before giving it to your child. Follow the prescribed dose strictly.| My child is having a cough with no mucus. Can I give Ambrodil-LX Drop to him?::: No, Ambrodil-LX Drop is advised for the treatment of wet cough. It aims to expel the mucus from the airway tract, thereby relieving your child from throat irritation, congestion and rendering him a soothing effect. Whereas, for a dry cough, cough suppressants are a better option. So, it will be wise if you ask your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.:

Ambrodil-LX Drop is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.:

Ambrodil-LX Drop comprises three active ingredients that together help treat wet cough (cough with mucus), acute sore throat and asthma in children. It also relieves throat irritation, clears congestion, and enables easy breathing in your child. Ambrodil-LX Drop makes it easier for your child to cough out the mucus by increasing its water content and making it thin enough to be coughed out. Give this medicine to your child by mouth with or without food along with a full glass of water. If your child develops an upset stomach, prefer giving it with food.You may require to give this medicine to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon the severity of the infection. For maximum benefit, do not stop the medication abruptly by yourself even if your child starts to feel better and continue the medicine until the full prescribed course. Do not give more than the prescribed dose for fast relief as it may cause unwanted effects and worsen your child’s condition.Some of the common side effects of this medicine include excessive production of saliva, fatigue, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, rash, tremors, and numbness or tingling sensation in the hands or feet. Usually, these episodes subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, if these effects persist or become bothersome for your child, report to your child’s doctor immediately.Narrate your child’s complete medical history, including any previous episode of respiratory illness, allergy, heart-problem, blood disorder, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, sinus issues, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction.
