Amedazol O Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Amedazol O Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Amedazol O Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

Do not panic. You can give the missed dose as soon as you remember unless your child’s doctor has advised otherwise. Remember not to double the dose to catch up with the missed one. In case of any confusion, do consult your child’s doctor.:

What if I give excess Amedazol O Syrup by mistake?::: Although an extra dose of Amedazol O Syrup will not have any side effects, you must always be vigilant. If you think you have given too much Amedazol O Syrup to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Overdose increases the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child’s doctor on an immediate basis if you notice any of these symptoms.| What should I do if my child shows no improvement even after taking Amedazol O Syrup for the prescribed duration?::: Ineffective treatment with Amedazol O Syrup could mean that the medicine is not able to act against the infection-causing bacteria. In such a case, visit your child’s doctor who may prescribe some other antibiotic, having more specific action toward the infection-causing bacteria.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as Amedazol O Syrup?::: Amedazol O Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Amedazol O Syrup. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Amedazol O Syrup?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| What should I tell the doctor before giving Amedazol O Syrup to my child?::: Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that Amedazol O Syrup may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.| My child has been passing red-brown urine ever since he started taking Amedazol O Syrup. Is it normal?::: Yes, it is normal. Amedazol O Syrup contains an active ingredient called metronidazole which can cause red-brown urine. It is a harmless side effect. It will subside once the medicine is stopped after the completion of the treatment.| My child is having a common cold. Is it safe to give Amedazol O Syrup along with cough & cold medicines?::: No, do not give Amedazol O Syrup with cough and cold medicines as it can interfere with their working.:

Amedazol O Syrup is an antibiotic, having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.:

Amedazol O Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that is effective against a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections. In children, it is used to treat infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract. Give Amedazol O Syrup to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after food. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with food. The usually prescribed frequency is twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, repeat the same dose but never double up the dose if it is time for the next dose. The dose and duration depend upon the type and severity of the infection, your child’s age, and body weight, so stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor.Some children may develop minor and temporary side effects after taking this medicine. These include nausea, vomiting, metallic taste, headache, loss of appetite, abdominal cramps, and mild skin rash. These side effects usually go away once your child’s body adapts to the medicine.
