If you think you have given too much of Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet to your child, speak to a doctor immediately.| Are there any possible serious side effects of Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet?::: Some serious side effects of this medicine include persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. Always consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.| Can other medicines be given at the same time as Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet?::: Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.| Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.| Can Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet impact my child’s digestion?::: Children often have a sensitive stomach and develop a stomach upset while taking antibiotics. When antibiotics are given, the medicine may kill off the good bacteria along with the bad ones, increasing the risk of developing other infections. In case your child is having diarrhea while on Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet, do not stop the medicine course. Instead, call your child’s doctor to ask about the next steps. In some cases, the doctor may alter the dose.| Can Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet lead to bacterial resistance in my child?::: Yes, the infection-causing bacteria can become resistant to Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet because of irregular dosing, unrequired repeated use, and misuse of Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet can lead to resistance. Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that treats bacterial infections that may affect your child’s eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It can also be used in treating typhoid fever in children and adolescents. Give Amicef O 100mg/100mg Tablet to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after meals. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. The dose and duration depend upon the type and severity of the infection, your child’s age, and body weight, so stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, repeat the same dose but do not double dose if it’s time for the next dose.Do not give this medicine to your child in case of cold and flu symptoms. Such symptoms are almost always a result of viral infections, and antibiotics are ineffective in killing viruses. Antibiotics are given in cough and flu symptoms only when the doctor detects any underlying secondary bacterial infection.This medicine may have some minor and temporary side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and allergy. These side effects will disappear once your child’s body adapts to the medicine.
