Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amitryn-C Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:

If you miss a dose of Amitryn-C Plus Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

Patients having mood or behavioral disorder have a high risk of developing suicidal thoughts and actions. You should pay close attention and report your doctor of any such behavior or mood changes. Make sure that you visit the doctor for the scheduled follow-up appointments.| Can I stop taking Amitryn-C Plus Tablet when my symptoms are relieved?::: No, you should continue to take Amitryn-C Plus Tablet, even if you feel well. Amitryn-C Plus Tablet is taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the blood. In case you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Never skip any dose and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Taking this medicine for a long time may require regular monitoring of blood and liver functions.Some common side effects of this medicine include constipation, difficulty in urination, weight gain, confusion, orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).
