Amotrex DS Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.If a single dose of Amotrex DS Tablet is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug. | – Driving : UNSAFE
Amotrex DS Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Amotrex DS Tablet may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive. | – Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Amotrex DS Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Amotrex DS Tablet is recommended.Patients undergoing kidney dialysis should take this medicine after the dialysis treatment. | – Liver : CAUTION

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amotrex DS Tablet is to be taken with food.:
If you miss a dose of Amotrex DS Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

How long does Amotrex DS Tablet take to work?::: Usually, Amotrex DS Tablet starts working within 1 hour of its ingestion. However, it may take around 2-3 days to make you feel better while taking Amotrex DS Tablet. If you do not experience any significant reduction in your symptoms, consult your doctor.| Can I drink alcohol while using Amotrex DS Tablet?::: No, avoid drinking alcohol while taking Amotrex DS Tablet. Moreover, you should avoid alcohol even after 3 days of finishing the complete course. Drinking alcohol can cause an unpleasant reaction (disulfiram like reaction) with symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, flushing or redness of the face.| Can the use of Amotrex DS Tablet cause metallic taste?::: Yes, Amotrex DS Tablet may cause a temporary metallic taste. This metallic taste can be reduced by staying hydrated, brushing teeth after the meals and chewing sugar-free gum or mints.| What if I take more than the recommended dose of Amotrex DS Tablet?::: If you have taken Amotrex DS Tablet in excess (more than the recommended dose), immediately contact your doctor or report to the nearest hospital. Overdose of Amotrex DS Tablet may cause loss of appetite, metallic taste, headache, dizziness, insomnia or drowsiness.| Can I stop taking Amotrex DS Tablet when I feel better?::: No, do not stop taking Amotrex DS Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Hence, if you stop taking the medicine before completing the course, your infection may come back. Consult your doctor before you stop taking Amotrex DS Tablet and follow their advice.| What if there is no improvement after using Amotrex DS Tablet?::: Inform your doctor if you did not feel better after completing the full course of treatment. It is used to treat infections of the liver, stomach, intestines, vagina, brain, heart, lungs, bones, and skin. Amotrex DS Tablet helps prevent an infection after surgery. It is also used in the treatment of dental infections, leg ulcers, and pressure sores. This medicine is best taken after eating some food. It should be taken at the same time each day to get the most benefit. The amount you are advised will depend on what you are being treated for and how bad it is, but you should take this antibiotic exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your symptoms may get better after a short time but do not stop taking it until you have finished a full course of treatment, even if you feel well. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive, and the infection may come back. Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine and for a few days after stopping it.
