Q. Is it safe to give Ampiclean Dry Syrup to children suffering from jaundice?::: It is advised not to give Ampiclean Dry Syrup to children if they have jaundice. The reason being, Ampiclean Dry Syrup contains an active ingredient called cloxacillin which can aggravate the symptoms of jaundice in your child.| Q. Is Ampiclean Dry Syrup safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?::: No, it is not advised to give Ampiclean Dry Syrup if your child is suffering from infectious mononucleosis or even leukemia as Ampiclean Dry Syrup can lead to the development of skin rashes.| Q. Can I give Ampiclean Dry Syrup to my child repeatedly for a long time?::: Giving your child Ampiclean Dry Syrup for a long term can cause fungal infection (oral thrush) in the mouth and severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfections). Moreover, irregular treatment, repeated use, and misuse of Ampiclean Dry Syrup can make the bacteria resistant. Therefore, do not alter the dose and duration on your own and give Ampiclean Dry Syrup to your child exactly as prescribed.| Q. Are there any possible serious side effects of Ampiclean Dry Syrup?::: Although rare, Ampiclean Dry Syrup may cause some serious side effects such as skin rash, allergy, superinfection, bleeding problems, seizures, and blood cell abnormalities. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Ampiclean Dry Syrup?::: Ampiclean Dry Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Ampiclean Dry Syrup ?::: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.:

Ampiclean Dry Syrup contains two active ingredients: Ampicillin and Cloxacillin. Ampicillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. At the same time, cloxacillin works toward increasing the efficiency of this medicine and helps in treating the infections caused by resistant bacteria. Ampiclean Dry Syrup contains two active antibiotics that are effective against a multitude of bacterial infections, including those of the ears, nose, sinus, tonsils, throat, lungs, heart, skin, and bones. It can also effectively treat infections caused by resistant bacteria.Ampiclean Dry Syrup works best on an empty stomach, so try to give it to your child 30 minutes to 1 hour before they eat. However, give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.Ampiclean Dry Syrup can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash.
