The reason being, Ampiclean Dry Syrup contains an active ingredient called cloxacillin which can aggravate the symptoms of jaundice in your child.| Q. Is Ampiclean Dry Syrup safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?::: No, it is not advised to give Ampiclean Dry Syrup if your child is suffering from infectious mononucleosis or even leukemia as Ampiclean Dry Syrup can lead to the development of skin rashes.| Q. Can I give Ampiclean Dry Syrup to my child repeatedly for a long time?::: Giving your child Ampiclean Dry Syrup for a long term can cause fungal infection (oral thrush) in the mouth and severe gastrointestinal infections (superinfections). Ampiclean Dry Syrup contains two active antibiotics that are effective against a multitude of bacterial infections, including those of the ears, nose, sinus, tonsils, throat, lungs, heart, skin, and bones. It can also effectively treat infections caused by resistant bacteria.Ampiclean Dry Syrup works best on an empty stomach, so try to give it to your child 30 minutes to 1 hour before they eat. However, give it with food if it upsets your child’s stomach. It is generally given three times a day. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend on the severity of the infection, its type, and your child’s body weight and age. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.Ampiclean Dry Syrup can cause some minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. These side effects almost always go away on their own.
