If you miss a dose of Amsolin-D Tablet MR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

Is Amsolin-D Tablet MR effective?::: Amsolin-D Tablet MR is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Amsolin-D Tablet MR too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.| Can the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR cause dizziness?::: Yes, the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR can cause dizziness. Amsolin-D Tablet MR contains a combination of Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. Tamsulosin can cause a sudden fall in blood pressure while changing posture from lying to sitting or standing (orthostatic hypotension). This sudden fall in blood pressure can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, sensation of spinning and vertigo. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, do not drive or use any machines. It is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.| What are the cautions associated with the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR?::: The use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR is considered to be harmful for men under the age of 18 years as it may affect the normal development of the male reproductive tract. The use of this medicine is also considered to be harmful for patients with any known allergy to any of the components of this medicine and in women who are pregnant or of childbearing potential. Along with that, it is important to keep in mind that pregnant women should not even handle Amsolin-D Tablet MR as the medicine may get absorbed through the skin and cause harm to the fetus.| Is Amsolin-D Tablet MR safe?::: Amsolin-D Tablet MR is safe if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Take it exactly as directed and do not skip any dose. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and let your doctor know if any of the side effects bother you.| Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of this medicine?::: No, Amsolin-D Tablet MR should be taken in the recommended dose only. An overdose of Amsolin-D Tablet MR can increase the risks of side effects. Always take your medicines according to the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor.| What is the storage condition for Amsolin-D Tablet MR?::: Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.| Can the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR cause ejaculation problems?::: Retrograde ejaculation (semen does not leave the body, instead goes into the bladder) and ejaculation failure (reduced or absent ejaculation volume) are common problems associated with the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR. But this is harmless and more commonly seen when the medicine is consumed in high doses.| Can the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR cause priapism (persistent painful penile erection unrelated to sexual activity)?::: Yes, the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR can cause priapism (painful penile erection). It is a serious but rare side effect associated with the use of this medicine. However, in some cases, it can lead to permanent impotence if not treated immediately.| Can the use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR have any impact on my cataract surgery?::: Use of Amsolin-D Tablet MR can cause floppy eye syndrome. In this, the muscles of the iris become floppy and the pupil constricts unexpectedly during cataract surgery. So, when the eye surgeon actually needs a dilated pupil, the pupil constricts unexpectedly. This restricts the field of surgery because of which the surgical outcomes can get affected. Inform your eye doctor (ophthalmologist) if you are taking this medicine or in case you have used this medicine in the last 9 months.| Apart from taking medicines, what should I do to manage my prostate symptoms?::: Simple lifestyle changes can help you manage your prostate symptoms better. Try to urinate when you first get the urge. However, take care not to strain or push while urinating. Avoid drinking fluids (especially alcohol, caffeine) a few hours before bedtime or going out. Amsolin-D Tablet MR is a combination of two medicines that work in different ways to treat men with an enlarged prostate gland. It helps to relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating or needing to go to the toilet more often. It is not used to prevent prostate cancer. Amsolin-D Tablet MR may be taken with or without food but it should be taken at the same time each day. Your doctor will prescribe the dose most suitable for you. To gain the most benefit and to treat your symptoms effectively, you should not miss doses, even if you feel well. It may take up to 4 weeks to notice an improvement in the symptoms but keep taking them regularly. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks or if they get worse.The most common side effects of this medicine include impotence, decreased libido, breast pain, and ejaculation disorder. If these side effects worry you or do not go away, call your doctor for advice. You may also feel dizzy or drowsy. These risks are higher when you first start taking this drug. Remember, your doctor has given you this medicine because the benefits are greater than the risks of the side effects.Amsolin-D Tablet MR should not be taken by women or children. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or liver or kidney disease. This medicine may not be suitable. It can also affect, or be affected by, other drugs.
