Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.:
If you miss a dose of Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.:

What should I avoid while taking Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet?::: You should avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes, unless advised by your doctor. Also, avoid alcohol consumption as doing so can further lower your blood pressure and may cause some side effects. In addition to that, avoid getting dehydrated, drink enough fluids during exercise and in hot weather. The medicine may make you dizzy so avoid driving, using machinery or doing anything that needs concentration unless you know how this medicine affects you. If you feel dizzy, lie down so you do not faint. Then sit for a few moments before standing to prevent feeling dizzy again.| What happens if I take too much of Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet?::: If you accidentally take too much of Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet, you may experience symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting and rapid heartbeat. However, in some cases slow heartbeat, reduced kidney function including kidney failure (e.g., reduced urine output) have also been reported. If you experience any of such symptoms contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help.| Can I come off Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet when my blood pressure is under control or normal?::: Even if your blood pressure is successfully lowered by this medicine, it is advised to continue your medication. If you stop taking Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet, your blood pressure could rise back up again. Blood pressure lowering medicines only help to control your condition but do not cure it. You will probably need to take them for the rest of your life. Remember, by keeping your blood pressure controlled you are reducing your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.| What happens if I forget to take Amlopres TL 80mg/5mg Tablet?::: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.
